This Sunday’s text is Luke 16:19-31, which contains the parable of the rich man and Lazarus. I want to encourage you to read this story and think about it in advance, as you prepare your hearts for worship. Are you living your days on this earth in light of the reality of both heaven and hell, as well as the finality of each person’s destination when their time is up? How should knowing that one day it will be too late to receive mercy from Christ, affect your relationships with the lost souls that God has put in your path? I pray that reflection on this parable gives us a greater passion and boldness for sharing the gospel with the lost, as well as the desire to live each day before the face of God and for his glory. See you Sunday!
